Safety in the Workplace

The Safety and Health of its employees and the protection of the environment is the prime concern to EW Howell. We at EW Howell make every effort to best ensure employee safety, health, and environmental protection on every one of our projects. To this end, we utilize the following principles in the construction of Our Projects:

ATTITUDE: Safety is the prime concern in the construction of Our Projects. This applies to EW Howell personnel and all workers, including subcontractors. A safe project begins with the entire project team embracing EW Howell’s established safe management practices.

AWARENESS: Safety Awareness, both on an individual and company level, are paramount in accident prevention and maintaining safe work practices. Through constantly varied training, pre-planning of hazardous activities, and qualified oversight, EW Howell will foster safety awareness companywide.

ABILITY: Management and workers will be required to display the highest level of competence and we will employ only those who meet this standard of excellence. Risk taking and failure to comply with or follow established rules and practices will not be tolerated.

ACTION: Management and workers will be held accountable for their actions. They will be required to perform their daily tasks in a safe, healthy, and environmentally correct manner. Everyone will be held accountable for conformance with the EW Howell Corporate Health and Safety Plan (CHASP) and the rules/regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ).
