The Stony Brook Hospital Major Modernization Project Phase II consists of a multi-phased alteration and renovation project of approximately 91,000 square feet located on existing floors 4, 5, and 6 (roof) of the Stony Brook University Medical Center. The new work on level 4 expands the Emergency Department, Critical Decision Unit (CDU), Post Anesthesia Care Unit, and Holding and Stage II Recovery. On level 5, the new work provides expansion for Labor and Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, hospital main entrance/lobby, registration and admitting and supporting services areas.
