IS 322K
PROJECT DETAILS
Following completion of the first phase of steel work on the IS 322K project, pouring of the first-floor decks was set for mid-June. Due to tight site logistics and overhead electrical, the steel erection/precast is a two-phased engineered operation.
As of the fall, the building structure has been fully erected, excluding an approximate 5% portion of the structure referred to as a leave-out area associated with the precast panel erection. Concrete decks have been poured up to, and including, the roof of the building. Many trades have mobilized on site, completing a variety of milestones in preparation for precast panel erection, including fireproofing, MEP overhead and rough-ins, interior framing, masonry, site drainage systems, backfilling, and installation of temporary structures/systems.
During the first week of November, the precast erection will be set using one of the largest mobile cranes in the Northeast (LTM 1650) as the precast panels can weigh 50.000 lbs. Once this is completed, the remaining leave-out area of the building will be erected, and Phase 2 of precast installation will commence after that.
