Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) is a thriving urban arts center that brings international performing arts and film to Brooklyn since 1861. Located at 321 Ashland Place, around the corner from BAM’s Peter Jay Sharp Building, the new 27,000-square-foot facility was designed for LEED Gold certification. The BAM Fisher Building features a 250 to 299-seat theatre rehearsal room, theatre support spaces and amenities, archives facilities, and approximately 3,500 square feet of administrative space. This project is LEED Gold certified with the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and has sustainable features including no- or low-volatile organic compound materials, use of day-lighting and sun shades, storm water collection and reuse of energy efficient mechanical and lighting systems, building management systems, and a green roof.
